About Us
Where to Begin at St. MarkAs you seek to learn more about St. Mark, you may be faced with the question, “Where do I start?” Here’s the simple answer - start with Jesus Christ.
St. Mark exists to introduce you to Jesus, the God of forgiveness and grace. Although we are God’s special creation, created in His image, we missed the mark. We often want to play God instead of honor Him. We often want God’s place instead of God’s love. We have all sinned and fallen short of God’s holy standards.
Our sin cost God’s Son dearly. His Son, Jesus, came to our world and lived a holy life so He could perfectly satisfy God’s requirements for salvation. He succeeded and was then sacrificed on a cross. It was the only way to remedy the wall between God and us.
But Jesus conquered death. Shortly after the cross, He physically rose to life. Through faith alone in Jesus we can live in relationship with God again -- forever. So begin at St. Mark with Jesus! If you’d like more information talk to any of us or call us at 336-2485.

What are your services like? Each weekend at St. Mark you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that is Christ-centered. A section in the middle of our service program for notes and two large screens (De Pere) help you make the most of the practical and relevant message. Children are well cared for our loving, quality Little Lambs Nursery and parents can care for their children in our Parent’s Room (De Pere).
What will happen when I visit for the first time?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.
What do I wear to attend your services?
You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our weekend service. Come in what is comfortable for you, because St. Mark is not about what you look like or what you wear.
What is the worship like?
We invite you to join us each week as we worship together. Our services at our De Pere site begin with upbeat, contemporary praise and worship music. We encourage everyone to participate. Don't worry...we didn't know the songs at first either. God comes to us in Word and sacrament; we respond with prayer and praise. Our service at our Green Bay follows the liturgy of the Western Rite, highlighting the great hymns and responses of Christianity. Where ever you worship, we want you to leave the service renewed and enlightened.
What about the Children?
Little Lambs Childcare is available for children 4 yrs. and under during all of our weekend services offered in De Pere. Your kids are greeted as they enter the room by our wonderful providers.
What about coffee? I need my coffee! If you are the kind of person who likes to have a coffee in your hand at all times, you don’t need to stop and get a cup on the way. Our Soul Café’ offers fresh brewed coffee and cappuccino every service as well as a variety of bake goods. All proceeds support our children’s and youth ministries.

What do I need to do to join St. Mark?
You will need to complete the C.L.A.S.S. program. The C.L.A.S.S. (Christian Life And Service Seminars) consists of four seminars (101, 102, 103, 104) cover the basic truths of Christianity as taught by St. Mark and the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. The seminars are designed for people interested in becoming a partner at St. Mark as well as those who simply want to learn and discuss biblical truth. The four seminars are prerequisites for membership in most cases. We ask people coming from a WELS (Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod), ELS (Evangelical Lutheran Synod), or LC-MS (Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod) church to complete at least the 104 seminar. One of the pastors will be happy to speak with you about the path to membership. Detailed explanation of the C.L.A.S.S. program. C.L.A.S.S. 2012 SCHEDULE
